The house sits on a large piece of land. A variety of native wildflower species have been preserved across the meadows surrounding the house. The area has been declared a protected natural area of local significance. Bee-catchers nestle in the sand-walls of the road leading up to the house.
There is an iron-wrought gazebo with a table and chairs and a full view of the lake.
A short stone-clad path leads to the winery.
